Specialty Cleaning Services

Standard, commercial cleaning operations follow vacuuming, dusting, mopping, scrubbing, and wiping variations. You commonly witness commercial cleaning using off-the-shelf tools, equipment, and cleaning agents (liquid and solid products).

There is nothing unusual here. It meets most cleaning standards. There are subtle differences in materials, equipment, and methods between households, janitorial services, hotel housekeeping, and facility maintenance staff.

The completed cleaning tasks may meet the standards of the owner, building operator, or manager, but it often remains ambiguous to measure and define what is and what defines “clean.”

Standards differ significantly between a household’s children’s room and the kitchen. How about between a factory and a restaurant, between a hospital patient’s room or the operating room, and between an auto repair shop or a space-satellite assembly room.

When it comes to standards for establishing cleanliness within enclosed areas, you may have a requirement to use international standards, our country’s medical requirements, OSHA worker specifications, EPA’s hazardous and toxic standards, etc. All relate at some level as to what constitutes a safe level of exposure to life forms in their various levels of development.

MEV recognizes the complexity of adhering to applicable standards to our work, both for MEV working staff, nearby occupants, and the casual, proximal passersby.

MEV takes pride that our services follow the procedures, requirements, and obligations under regulatory standards and customary practice to maintain measurable cleanliness levels and indoor air quality health for our abatement and disposal work.

We perform appropriate methods to control proper air filtration. We use sanitizing cleaning agents approved by regulatory agencies, and their application is under standardized, customary practice.

Surface Mold & Misc. Bio-Hazards

Start a three phase, in-depth approach.

  • HEPA Vacuum area of gross, bulk dust & debris. We use High-Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) Filtration in our Vac-equipment.
  • Use soapy solution of surfactants to wet wipe all impacted surfaces.
  • Sanitize/Disinfect with EPA liquid agents by wet wipe and/or spray method; use same sanitizing solution in a Fogger to coat all surfaces as necessary.

Vacating Tennents–Commercial & Residential

A midnight, tenant-departure leaving otherwise a real mess containing chemical solids, solvents, petroleum spills, and perhaps plumbing leaks. Visibly damaged building materials, suspect materials that may contain hazardous substances and require regulatory cleanup, etc a property manager nightmare.

Fire-Water-Wind Damage– In Older Structures with Asbestos, Canec & Lead Paint

Debris and dust like this may retain unknown contents. Often the debris may have to be sampled before regulatory disposal. Also, the area may have to be periodically wetted to suppress dust migration. That also may require waste water containment.

Clandestine Labs–Hawaii-DOH and EPA Guidance Manuals used for cleanup management:

Rare in some areas but nerveless mortgage companies, landlords, insurance companies may require a specialized approach of cleaning and air testing.

Limited Vector Control

Special Abatement Requests do occur in Structures containing Asbestos, Lead Paint, Canec, etc. In those areas like attics, crawl spaces, between walls, and basements we have found our work in co-habitation with dead birds, mummified rodents and other creepy-crawlies.

Ceiling, Wall, Floor– Top to Bottom

Clean-Disinfect-Sanitize. You set the limits.
